Winterlights at Newfields
Each year, Newfields hosts one of the Midwest’s most anticipated holiday attractions—and our team is at the center of its transformation.
From July through October, we are on-site every single day, meticulously wrapping the property’s largest and oldest trees. These towering specimens form the backbone of the Winterlights experience, and our work sets the visual tone for the entire show.

Executing this installation requires a blend of artistry, technical skill, and endurance. Our team navigates heavy canopies, complex branching structures, and significant height, using precision rigging and strategic power mapping to ensure every limb glows with even, uninterrupted brilliance. Our crews dedicate more than 1,000 hours to this project every year.
We work closely with Newfields’ arborists to ensure our displays don’t affect the long-term health of the trees. If a tree we wrapped the previous year shows signs of distress, we’ll skip it and find an alternative.
When the switch is finally flipped, the result is a breathtaking forest of illuminated giants—trees transformed into glowing sculptures that hundreds of thousands of visitors travel from across the region to experience. This project showcases our ability to execute large-scale, high-detail, season-long installations with craftsmanship, safety, and deep respect for the landscape.
Trust us with you next holiday lighting project.
